A NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the residents of Rice Lake that the ELECTION OF CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS for the CITY OF RICE LAKE will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
OFFICE TO BE ELECTED
TWO COUNCILORS, 4 YEAR TERM (Ending 12/31/30)
MAYOR, 2 YEAR TERM (Ending 12/31/28)
Filing opens on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 and closes on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 5:00 PM.  
Candidacy may be filed with the City Administrator at Rice Lake City Hall 4107 West Beyer Road, Duluth, Minnesota between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday for these offices.  Filings will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on July 28, 2026.  Filing fee: $2.00
Last day to withdraw from Election is July 31, 2026 by 5:00 PM.

PUBLIC NOTICE

A NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the Residents of the City of Rice Lake that the Public Accuracy Testing of the DS-200 Optical Scan and the OmniBallot Assistive Voting Systems will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Rice Lake City Hall, 4107 W. Beyer Road, Rice Lake, MN 55803. This equipment will be used in the State Primary Election on August 11, 2026.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the residents of City of Rice Lake that the Board of Adjustment will be conducting a Public Hearing on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026 at 5:00 PM to consider an application from David & Amy Koskiniemi, 5007 Woodland Ave, for a 10-foot variance from the required 68-foot setback from Woodland Ave to replace their existing garage. A NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the Residents of the City of Rice Lake that the Absentee Ballot Board will be meeting to accept/reject absentee ballots for the 2026 Primary Election on the following dates:
Every Tuesday and Friday at 10:00 am starting June 30th and going thru August 11th.
 **If there are no ballots to review, the Board will not meet.**
